OK you need to enter them as two separate databases and then merge the two. Checkout VKCL multi op support.otherwise export the lot over to an excel spreadsheet in ADIF format and edit to your hearts content.you also need to add the tag (column) for the nominated transmitter from memory its just a 1 or a zero in a two transmitter setup for Cabrillo formatYep I agree pain in the bum.Any more grief I can run it up for you but I am sure you will work it out.The other alternative is to run the log in N1MM in ARRL FD mode with Dupes switched off then export out to ADIF and then back into VKCL for correct Aussie scoring but i reckon I could get shot for suggesting that one. VKCL web page wrote:VKCL can probably still be 'improved' based on actual use in the contests, particularly under field conditions. If you do use VKCL for any of the above contests, please let me know how it performed, whether anything broke or was missing or should be added, and what should be done differently and/or improved. If you have any queries about the operations of VKCL, please use the link below. One would get the feeling there isn't any genuine desire to add or improve anything. So back to the original question, is there another logging application out there that can be used directly for our VHF Field Day contests, without the mucking around? If not, I think there is a need for a new dedicated, yet versatile, logging app purely for these Field Days. Hi Adam,Last year we ran multi op for the field days and we kept paper logs.
We all started with #001 for each band, with the idea that they would be entered ok into the VKCL program after the event. I entered one log then tried another band's log, hoping to fit it in between other band entires. In the end, I entered the second and third band's logs with incorrect dates, that is, the following days.
The program took this nicely. Then, I edited the incorrect dates to the correct ones and it worked, with the contacts all fitting in between each other, with their separate numbers. Cumbersome, yes, but, it did work. When I contacted Mike re this problem, he was surprised as to using the paper method and entering afterwards. He said that the intention of the program was for multi operators to each have a laptop on site and that they be networked together. This apparently would then solve the problem. I did not and have not tried this, as I have been running as a single op, multi band since and using a single laptop.Hope this makes sense and helps.JohnVK2JHQF58kr.

Rating:2001-06-26Sweet!Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.I downloaded Kelly's FD logger about 3 days before field day and it was easy to set up. Kelly has been great to communicate with via email. I let him know of the few problems I had with v1.4.1, also mentioned in KA3UEH's review, and he said that he will be working on it for next year. However, these bugs didn't cause ANY problems for me during field day. For multiple computer logging/dupe checking, it is the cat's meow! It's great to be able to network laptops together and have all contacts log to a central MS Access database. Once you are done, Kelly's program will export your data to a PDF document that is sufficient for submission to ARRL.
I learned that a DUPE SHEET is not mandatory for submission.I set up the Master computer on a Sony 700MHz Laptop running WinME, the fastest notebook computer I had. You can log directly on that PC. Then, I set the Client computer up on a Toshiba 266MHz Laptop running Win2k. The client machine runs the field day logger from the Master computer (via a shared resource), and logs to the master. Works like a charm.
Kelly mentioned that he wants to have locally installed programs next year with a central database to increase speed. I didn't have any problems, tho.I plan on using this next year and will definately provide feedback!73'sPat N3GWZ. Rating:2001-06-26Great FD logger!Time Owned: 0 to 3 months.A friend and myself were hunting around for a good (and free) FD logger a week before FD 2001.
We wanted something that was easy to use and if it was designed for Windows, all the better. After looking over a lot of the software that's already out there, we performed a search on www.Google.com and came across N2TDK's web site (There we found exactly what we were looking for.N2TDK's Field Day Logger for Windows allows multiple users to log into the same program via a network and even allows them to add contacts at the same time.PLEASE READ.PRODUCT REVIEWS TERMS & CONDITIONS-NOTES.
